About

Nobuko Fujita (she/her) is a Learning Specialist in the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education, University of Windsor.

Learning Specialist

I am an Ancillary Academic Staff/Learning Specialist III  (AAS/LS III), which is similar to the rank of an Associate Professor. This makes me unique, since most educational developers in Canada hold staff appointments at universities and colleges. I am grateful that I have tenure (or permanence) to do my job to the very best of my abilities.

I started in the CTL on May 1, 2025, as my previous unit, the Office of Open Learning , was eliminated in the most recent budgetary cuts. I am excited to join CTL! I can continue to support faculty, staff, and graduate student instructors at  the University. My research-informed practice is perfectly aligned with CTL's mission to enhance teacher development and student learning. Additionally, I can continue to uphold commitments to equity, diversity, inclusivity, Indigenization, and decolonization.

Faculty Development Courses, Workshops, & Communities of Practice

I am currently transitioning to teaching in the CTL . I have led or co-led many courses, workshops (general and program-specific), bookclubs, and community of practice sessions in the Office of Open Learning, including:
